We are currently open for business during COVID-19 and will advise if the situation changes.
We are hopeful that this global situation is short-lived and that our customers, friends, family and community stay safe and healthy.
Nonetheless, the following outlines the measures that our suppliers and we are taking to protect you, our loyal customer base, your consumable wine product, ourselves and our business.
Our suppliers:
The work in both the production and warehouse facilities continue to operate as normal. As outlined recently by the Canadian Government, the suppliers have advised that they have taken additional measures in both facilities to ensure that all staff are healthy.
The production facilities are BRCGS-certified food processing facilities and will continue to operate under strict quality, safety and operational standards.
Carafe Wine Makers Georgetown:
If you are unable to or prefer not to venture out during these times to place your wine order please reach out to us at 905.873.2667 or fill out the above contact form on this website. We will contact you & discuss options.
The work in our wine processing area continues to operate as normal where all equipment is washed/sterilized and rinsed prior to use. We are inspected on a regular basis by Halton Region Health Department. The most recent visit was Thursday March 12th 2020. We are in full compliance with all requirements.
At this time we are making changes to the wine bottling process and we require your assistance.
We will continue to contact your prior to your appointment to confirm the date/time is still convenient and if required will reschedule.
Our front door is locked to ensure that we comply to the recommended 1-2 meter social distancing requirements and only allowing 1 customer/household in the store at a time. On your bottling date we ask that when you arrive to bottle you allow us to confirm that you are able at that moment to enter our facility. We ask that you be patient to allow the previous customer to depart and allow us to sanitize the bottling station. Effective July 9th masks are mandatory in all Halton Hills indoor public places - this includes our store.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to minimize the negative impacts of COVID-19 for you, our local customer, our families, our community and our business.
